Do you feel you are in the wrong job and things are not working out? If you are not enjoying your job, you won’t be able to grow in that job. If computers and technology interests you or you are an IT professional, you are surely lucky.

With the rise in IT Jobs in Australia, the demand for professionals has also increased. So, go ahead and try to strike this golden opportunity but with preparation, especially for interview. The first thing you need to ask yourself when you go for an interview – Is this really what you want? If the answer is yes then get ready follow what is mentioned below

The first thing you need to do is make yourself presentable, you need to tidy up your hair, if it is colored then let the color be something natural, make sure you have trimmed beard or moustache if not shaven. Make sure your nails are clipped. It is also important for you to know that you are prepared for the interview. If you are prepared for the interview, then you are prepared for the job. At the interview,  it is important that you don’t seek on getting this job so much that it makes you nervous. If you are nervous, then just go to a salon and get yourself a good head massage and relax before you go for the interview.

When you’re waiting your turn for interview, make sure you are seated calmly and you are not restless because you are being watched at the place of interview. Your restlessness will be an indication that you will not stay in this job for long. While you are waiting, mentally prepare yourself for answers you feel they will ask you. When you are called in then go in there with your head raised, shoulders up and chest out i.e. feel good and confident.

Remember that if you are asked something, give your answer if you know it with a reason, if asked. If you don’t know something, do not tell them you don’t know but you can tell the interview panel what you feel is the most suitable solution. Finally, if you are asked about your salary expectations then you must be clear on what you want after considering what the market is paying, if you are up to that mark and if the company is a known good paymaster. Once you are through with the interview and if it all went well then reward yourself silently with a candy and they will call you when you least expect it.
